The dua for 1st ashra and its detail is as follows: The word ‘Ashra’ means 10 days, and the holy month Ramadan is based on 30 days which is divided into three Ashras with specific names, features, and qualities respectively. These Ashras or stages of the holy month Ramadan is divided by Allah Almighty and told by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). The Muslims fast in the month of Ramadan and there are specific prayers for fasting: (Roza rakhne ki dua), and (Roza kholne ki dua).

The dua for 1st Ashra (Pehla Ashra) of Ramzan
The first Ashra of Ramadan is denoted as “Mercy” (Rahmat) which starts with the sighting of the crescent moon and lasts for ten days. In this Ashra, Allah Almighty grants Muslims special blessings, mercy, and grace. Following Dua is prescribed for first Ashra:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
اے میرے رب! تو بخش اور رحم کر اور تو سب مہربانوں سے بہتر مہربانی کرنے والا ہے۔
O! My Allah, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of the merciful. (Al-Mu’minun:118)
